Mississippi police officer who fatally shot a one-year-old boy in a Walmart car park resigns days after being cleared

Sgt Hunter Foster, 32, resigned from the Senatobia force on Friday, days after Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch ruled the June 14 shooting 'justified'. Kohen Wiley was struck in the torso after Foster fired into a car that was fleeing an alleged shoplifting. Family lawyer Ben Crump says the video shows the fatal bullet entered from the side of the vehicle. Kohen would have turned two in November.

Foster's lawyer Martin Zummach says he had 'no choice' because the car moved at him.

Driver Latoya Ferrell was shot twice and still has a 'bullet inside her'.

Kohen's family is demanding a federal investigation into the shooting.
