Sharifa Nicole Henderson, 34, of Kansas City, was arrested on 11 September following a federal grand jury indictment returned in Texas charging her on three counts of interstate threatening communications directed at the family of murdered teenager Austin Metcalf. The threats were sent via Facebook Messenger and a phone call in the days after Karmelo Anthony was convicted of Metcalf's killing on 9 June. Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
In one message, Henderson allegedly told Jeff Metcalf: 'I will hunt you forever until I kill you — you will always have to look over your shoulder.'
Henderson also reportedly called Collin County prosecutors on 10 June threatening to 'demolish' the family and 'strangle' one of them.
Anthony, 19, was sentenced to 35 years after stabbing Metcalf at a Frisco, Texas high school in April 2026; a judge denied his appeal for a new trial.
