Mohamed Salah was convicted at Warrington Combined Court of failing to tell police who was driving his Rolls-Royce when it was caught doing 36mph in a 30mph zone in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on 27 March. The 34-year-old did not respond to the prosecution notice brought by Cheshire Constabulary and did not enter a plea. He was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £1,044. The offence came just days after Salah announced he was leaving Liverpool for Turkish club Trabzonspor.

The speeding camera caught Salah's Rolls-Royce just three days after he publicly announced his Liverpool departure on 24 March.

Since joining Trabzonspor, Salah has scored seven goals in six league appearances, including a hat-trick as his side thrashed Galatasaray 4-0 on Saturday.
