Courtney Clapham, 23, of Louth, also accused an innocent man of raping a child, using false names in anonymous calls to Humberside Police and recruiting fake witnesses to back her story. Her self-inflicted wounds saw him arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm, while she smeared him across social media as a violent abuser she feared.

'She made me out to be a monster, when all along, she was one,' says the cleared man.

Ten-year restraining order also imposed on Courtney Clapham, 23, alongside her prison sentence.

Detective Sergeant Eve Tansley of Humberside Police says male domestic abuse victims must also be given a voice.
