Man, 35, is charged with assisting an offender after 'hero' PC was shot in the foot in Nottingham city centre

Jahmal Ruddock-Senior, 35, is now charged in connection with the shooting. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Monday. A 27-year-old woman was remanded in custody on Friday after being charged with firearms offences.

Two men, aged 24 and 30, and two women, 25 and 21, are arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A woman, 33, is held on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Nottinghamshire Police say the inquiry is ongoing, with several suspects released on bail.
