Hunt for missing girl, 14, last seen boarding late-night train from Chatham towards Bromley

A search is under way for Lily Sibanda, a 14-year-old girl who vanished after boarding a train from Chatham at about 10pm on Tuesday 13 October 2026, heading towards the Bromley area. The late-night journey would have carried her out of Medway in Kent and across the border into south-east London, travelling during the final services of the evening when stations and carriages are quieter and witnesses fewer.
Anyone spotting her should dial 999 immediately, quoting reference 14-0027, Kent Police urges.
Commuters and residents along the Chatham-to-Bromley rail corridor are key, especially anyone who shared her carriage.
Other information can go to the non-emergency 101 line or the Kent Police website's live chat.
