Mother of two was referred to Prevent and visited by police for 'over-identifying' with Israel after a press trip
Holly Passmore, 44, a County Durham influencer who campaigns against antisemitism, found two Durham Constabulary officers at her door three weeks after returning from Israel in June. An anonymous referral had triggered the visit. Officers asked why she cared about 'Jewish issues' when County Durham is not a Jewish area, and whether she had ever been to Auschwitz. She called the encounter 'very intimidating'.
A police intelligence report cited mental health issues that Passmore says she does not have.
After her complaint, a superintendent came to her home to reassure her.
