Children's YouTube star Ms Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Accurso, has pledged $1 million to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, matching rapper Macklemore's donation after he was dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour for shouting "Free Palestine" on stage. Accurso, who has more than 21 million YouTube subscribers, urged "every wealthy white celebrity" to match the sum and "speak out against the genocide". She criticised Sheeran for refusing to take a political stand on the conflict.
Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour after performing his protest song 'Hind's Hall' and chanting "Free Palestine" at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.
Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft, one of the venue operators who objected to Macklemore, has since agreed to donate $2 million to Gaza relief at Ed Sheeran's request.
Paloma Faith, 45, separately revealed she ends each night by saying "Free Palestine" to her children, including a six-month-old baby, telling Channel 4 News she believes children should be "exposed to politics".
