Murder squad hunts killer of woman, 38, as family says 'we 'cannot come to terms' with this'
Donna Ann Reece, 38, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, was found dead at a house on Clayton Lane at around 11.15am on Monday after West Midlands Ambulance Service raised the alarm over a sudden death. Staffordshire Police launched a murder investigation, and a 47-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Reece's family released a joint statement saying they are 'heartbroken' and called for privacy while the investigation continues.
Specialist officers have been assigned to support the family throughout the inquiry.
Police are appealing for CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage via an online portal they have set up.
