Donna Ann Reece, 38, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, was found dead at a house on Clayton Lane, Clayton, on Monday 12 October after West Midlands Ambulance Service raised the alarm. A 47-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released on conditional bail while detectives continue their enquiries. Her family said they are 'heartbroken' and 'cannot come to terms' with her loss.

Staffordshire Police have set up a Major Incident Public Portal where witnesses can submit CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage anonymously.

Officers have kept Clayton Lane closed between its two junctions with Stafford Crescent, with a cordon remaining in place since Monday.

Donna's family have asked for privacy while the investigation continues, with specialist liaison officers assigned to support them.
