Musk pitched Starlink throttle to Trump before blaming him for it, report claims — and 'THEY BOTH LIED'

Musk reportedly took the idea of throttling Ukraine's Starshield military satellite service to Trump himself before publicly blaming the White House for the decision. Trump reportedly agreed, after which the Pentagon reduced the system's bandwidth, leaving Ukrainian interceptor drones too slow to evade Russian missiles during a devastating attack on Kyiv. Trump has since distanced himself from the episode, telling reporters "it wasn't me and I don't think it was Elon," even as Musk had previously maintained that speed restrictions were "decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS."
A senior source reportedly said: 'He tweeted out that he was innocent — the reality is they were both in it.'
Nine bipartisan senators, among them Republicans Susan Collins and John Cornyn, have written to the Pentagon's inspector general calling for an investigation.
Ukraine has no credible fallback to Starshield — analysts caution that the next best option, Amazon's Project Kuiper, is owned by another billionaire, Jeff Bezos, who is just as vulnerable to White House pressure.
