Musk points the finger at Trump over Starshield throttling that Zelensky warns will cost Ukrainian lives

Elon Musk pointed the finger at President Trump over Ukraine's restricted access to the Starshield military satellite network, posting on X that "any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS." The throttling halted Ukrainian drone strikes against Russian targets, prompting Zelensky to warn Piers Morgan that "people will die" because of it. Musk had earlier distanced SpaceX from the decision, arguing that Starlink is not available for offensive military operations.

Zelensky told UK media he felt 'betrayed' by Trump and warned: 'It is a pity that we are losing a strong partner.'

Starshield imposed a speed limit of 160km/h, severing connectivity to faster-moving drones in the middle of missions and disrupting multiple active operations.

Ukraine's defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov said connectivity at speeds up to 160km/h was being PARTIALLY restored by Wednesday afternoon.
