General Alexus Grynkewich, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, laid out a three-pronged "theory of victory" at the Warsaw Security Forum on Monday, vowing to block, blunt and break any Russian assault on alliance territory. He warned that retaliation would extend far beyond an initial attacking force to destroy "anything and everything" that supports it. The speech comes as European intelligence chiefs warn Russia could attempt a limited land grab or deadly hybrid operation against a NATO member as early as this autumn.
Grynkewich said NATO is 'ready to fight tonight', stressing the alliance does not need to destroy an enemy entirely — only stop it dead.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski warned that if Russian hybrid attacks begin killing people, NATO will face 'a very serious conversation' about its response threshold.
Czech intelligence separately warned Russia could resort to riskier operations inside NATO states, as European nations report arson attacks, drone incursions and infrastructure sabotage linked to Moscow.
