Netanyahu condemns settler attacks on West Bank villages but no arrests made after dozens storm Palestinian homes

Masked Israeli settlers stormed Palestinian homes in the West Bank villages of Qusra and Jalud over the weekend, injuring at least eight people, trapping families inside their homes, attacking journalists and setting fire to nearby land. Netanyahu called those responsible a "handful of rioters" and demanded arrests, but no settlers had been detained as of Saturday evening despite IDF troops arriving on the scene. Meanwhile, British national Finn Joughin was detained by Israeli authorities in Umm al-Khair near Hebron and handed to police, with the UK's Foreign Office confirming embassy officials have raised his case with Israeli authorities.

Homeowner Luay Bayruti said that when soldiers responded to his call for help, they restrained and beat the people inside the home before letting them go.

Palestinian woman Aida Ahmed Abdullah, 51, who was being interviewed by the crew when settlers attacked, required medical treatment by the Red Crescent.

IDF troops confiscated three settler vehicles but ordered the attackers to leave rather than arrest them, drawing sharp criticism over Israel's response.
