Netflix has pulled the trailer for its upcoming three-part documentary 'Hunting Gary Glitter' from YouTube and postponed the October 14 launch date after becoming aware of new legal information it says it cannot yet disclose. The streamer confirmed it will provide an update "as soon as we are in a position to do so." The delay comes just weeks after Glitter, real name Paul Francis Gadd, pleaded not guilty via videolink to eight allegations of sexual abuse against a girl aged between eight and 11.
The documentary, made by Voltage TV, follows journalists pursuing Glitter alongside survivors, charting his 1997 conviction and eventual incarceration.
Glitter is currently still serving a prison sentence for other offences and entered his not guilty plea to the new allegations from behind bars.
Netflix previously covered serial sex abuser Jimmy Savile in its documentary 'Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story'.
