'Never, ever again': PM Andy Burnham's 2024 salsa to Livin' La Vida Loca resurfaces after his Strictly confession
Andy Burnham, whose salsa routine was filmed at a charity ball in aid of motor neurone disease charities in honour of Rob Burrow, has refused to apologise to critics over the appearance.
During his time as Greater Manchester mayor, Andy Burnham took to the floor with professional dancer Cara Tighe at the Burrow Strictly Ball in Blackpool. Watching Graeme Hall's Strictly salsa on Channel 4's Stand Up to Cancer Gogglebox special, he confessed to feeling 'a clang of anxiety'. The ball raised money for motor neurone disease charities in honour of rugby league star Rob Burrow, who died in June 2024, aged 41.
Burnham filmed Gogglebox from No 10 alongside Steve Rotheram, over a pint and crisps.
He refused to apologise to critics for 'trying to lead with a bit of levity'.
If he ever did Strictly, Burnham would dance to Sit Down by James.
