President Donald Trump said on Friday the NFL 'could've probably postponed that match', warning that 'France is really in trouble'. The US State Department has told Americans in Paris for the game to exercise caution. Paris police ordered PSG's Sunday match against Lyon moved to Monday because forces are stretched thin. The Louvre and Orsay Museum were also closed on Saturday.
Trump blamed the unrest on 'unlimited numbers of people' arriving from 'very unfriendly countries'.
Pete Hegseth's office reportedly tried to pull all troops from the game before restoring a colour guard.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell insisted that street protests 'are not unusual in France'.
