NHS doctor behind the 'Palestine poppy' sold on eBay wrote books for Muslim teens defending stoning

Abdul Qader Ismail, 41, an Oxford-educated paediatrician from Birmingham, sells the enamel pin on eBay for £1.78. Veterans accuse him of 'hijacking' Britain's symbol of remembrance and diverting cash from the Royal British Legion. His poppy website carries a video with the slogan 'from the river to the sea'. He insists all proceeds go to charities working to 'end the occupation'.

His series 'An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens' covers stoning and homosexuality.

The books are on sale through Amazon and Waterstones.

He calls himself a 'cake-baking, horror movie-watching' British-Pakistani Muslim father-of-two.
