Emma Webber, whose son Barnaby was killed, branded the unauthorised record-viewing 'gross voyeurism at the worst possible level' and said the breach was 'uncovered because we insisted upon it'. Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust has also issued 15 final written warnings and two first written warnings. Doctors and nurses are among those caught viewing the files of Barnaby, Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates.

Grace's father, Dr Sanjoy Kumar, condemned 'voyeuristic people in the NHS' as 'disgraceful'.

Four were sacked on Friday, adding to the 11 dismissals the trust announced in May.

Nottinghamshire Police and the Information Commissioner's Office have been informed of the breaches.
