Sir Nick Clegg, 59, could earn as much as £30 million when British AI and data centre company Nscale lists on Wall Street — just six months after he took a seat on its board in March. He owns 917,460 shares, approximately 0.12 per cent of existing stock, valued at around £13.5 million based on the firm's current $14.6 billion valuation. Should Nscale pursue a $35 billion valuation on the New York Stock Exchange, as has been reported, his holding could be worth roughly £31.5 million.
Between 2022 and 2024, the former Liberal Democrat leader and Deputy PM offloaded around £24 million in Meta shares.
Sheryl Sandberg, who also worked with Clegg at Meta, joined Nscale's board in March at the same time he did.
The reported windfall from Nscale would surpass everything Clegg earned during his last three years at Meta put together.
