Nick Reiner rocks in his chair as an LA judge delays a ruling on sealed evidence in his parents' murders
Judge Sam Ohta postponed the fight over the grand jury transcript to January 13, noting that Reiner had been 'indicted unbeknownst to his counsel'. Siblings Jake and Romy Reiner are pushing to keep the material sealed, citing fears of 'additional trauma and harm'. More than a dozen media organisations are contesting that position. No family members were present, though two female supporters were seated in the gallery.
Reiner, 33, denies stabbing Rob and Michele Singer Reiner at their Brentwood home.
Prosecutors have taken the death penalty off the table, leaving him to face life without parole if convicted.
He is due back in court on October 23 to contest control of a family trust valued at over $1.5m.
