Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on X that Russia's actions amount to "spitting in the face of the whole world," as a 2022 video surfaced showing Nigel Farage called Vladimir Putin a "rational player.

The comments, made in a 2022 YouTube video titled 'What does the war in Ukraine mean for Bitcoin?', surfaced just days after Russia launched its full-scale invasion, with Farage saying he had always considered Putin a "rational player" and that annexing Russian-speaking communities was explicable if not justified.

Farage now says Putin has "lost all rationality and poses a great danger to the world."

The 2022 video also saw Farage credit Russian sanction-busting crypto investment for a 15 per cent spike in Bitcoin values.

The unearthing follows a September report that Farage knew Russians used cryptocurrency to dodge Ukraine war sanctions but invested anyway.
