Norfolk man is jailed after a girl found his hidden phone camera behind bathroom toiletries, with footage of herself on it

Gaven Clarke, 41, of Drayton, near Norwich, used hidden cameras over a five-year period from 2020 to 2025 to film and photograph girls in the shower and on the toilet, Norwich Crown Court heard. On Thursday he was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison after admitting nine offences including voyeurism and making indecent images of children. None of the victims knew they had been recorded until police seized his phone and other digital devices.

Clarke's offending was uncovered after one girl spotted his phone propped among toiletries on a bathroom shelf and noticed footage of herself on the screen.

When officers examined his devices, they found images of multiple other victims along with hundreds of downloaded indecent images of children.

One victim said in a court statement: 'I felt disgusted. Now when I walk into a public toilet I am constantly checking.'
