Paedophile who filmed girls in a Norfolk bathroom for five years is jailed after a victim found the hidden phone

Gaven Clarke, 41, of Drayton near Norwich, secretly filmed girls showering and using the toilet over five years, amassing hundreds of downloaded indecent images alongside footage of multiple victims who had no idea they were being recorded. He was sentenced to three years and eight months at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday after admitting two counts of voyeurism and seven counts relating to indecent images of children.

A girl discovered Clarke's phone hidden behind toiletries on a bathroom shelf, found footage of herself and alerted her parents, triggering the May 2025 arrest.

One victim told the court: 'Now when I walk into a public toilet I am constantly looking around to check if there are any devices.'

Clarke has been placed on the sex offenders' register for life and is subject to restraining and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
