Norfolk paedophile who filmed young girls showering for five years is jailed after one girl found a phone hidden behind toiletries

Gaven Clarke, 41, of Drayton, near Norwich, covertly recorded children in the shower and on the toilet over a five-year period from 2020 to 2025, and on Thursday received a sentence of three years and eight months at Norwich Crown Court. The crimes came to light when one girl found his phone on a bathroom shelf hidden among toiletries and discovered footage of herself that had been captured without her knowledge or consent.

Clarke admitted two counts of voyeurism, four counts of making indecent images, and three counts of taking indecent images of children.

Forensic analysis of his devices revealed footage of additional victims who had been unaware they were filmed, along with hundreds of downloaded indecent images.

Clarke has been added to the sex offenders' register for life and must comply with both a restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
