Norfolk paedophile who hid a phone behind bathroom toiletries to film young girls is jailed after one discovered it

Gaven Clarke, 41, of Drayton, near Norwich, was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday after admitting nine charges spanning five years of covert filming between 2020 and 2025. The offending came to light when one girl found his phone concealed behind toiletries and discovered footage of herself she had never consented to. Forensic examination of his seized devices revealed further victims who had no idea they had been filmed, plus hundreds of downloaded indecent images of children.
Clarke admitted two counts of voyeurism, four counts of making indecent images of children and three counts of taking indecent images.
'Now when I walk into a public toilet I am constantly looking around to check if there are any devices,' one victim said in court.
Clarke has been placed on the sex offenders' register for life and is subject to restraining and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
