Norfolk paedophile who secretly filmed young girls showering is jailed after one found his hidden phone and footage of herself

Gaven Clarke, 41, of Brancaster Close, Drayton, near Norwich, filmed children showering and using the toilet at locations in Norwich and Dereham over five years from 2020 to 2025, admitting nine sexual offences in total. He was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday after police found images of multiple victims — none of whom knew they had been filmed — plus hundreds of downloaded indecent images on his devices.

Clarke was placed on the sex offenders' register for life and is subject to both restraining and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.

One victim told the court: 'Now when I walk into a public toilet I am constantly looking around to check if there are any cameras.'

Detective Sergeant Ash Parker of Norfolk Police praised the victims' bravery and urged anyone facing similar offences to contact police.
