North Korea's Kim Jong-un is pictured inspecting a pink shoe with his daughter after a dissident claimed he had died

US-based Chinese dissident Xie Wanjun said on Sunday that Kim had suffered a severe brain haemorrhage, fallen into a coma, and died in a Beijing hospital. State news agency KCNA responded by releasing photographs of the 42-year-old at a clothing and footwear exhibition in Pyongyang alongside his daughter Kim Ju-ae, 13. KCNA dated the images to Monday, though no independent confirmation of that has emerged.

Xie claimed Kim's body was 'secretly transported back' while his death was kept under wraps.

South Korea's spy agency said in September Kim was 'extremely obese' and facing elevated heart disease risk.
