Norwegian teen hitman recruited online by an Iran-linked gang is jailed for 20 years for plotting a UK murder

Johannes Kongsnes Natland, 19, was a part-time pizza worker when the Swedish Foxtrot Network signed him up during an online game. He agreed to shoot an unnamed target for 25,000 euros and told a friend 'it will be cool to kill someone'. Police seized him at a Huddersfield hotel with two guns. He must serve at least 13 years.

Counter-terror police say the Foxtrot Network has links to the Iranian government.

Judge Bobbie Cheema-Grubb was sure he would have killed had police not stepped in.

He claimed he had considered shooting himself in the foot to escape the plot.
