'Electrons will never replace atoms': Nvidia boss urges struggling German manufacturers to embrace AI or miss their chance

Jensen Huang made the plea on Monday alongside Chancellor Friedrich Merz at an investment summit in Berlin, warning: 'You don't have another chance.' Germany's economy ministry has already signed a memorandum of understanding with Nvidia. A wider deal to push AI into German industry is expected to be announced as the summit continues on Tuesday. Merz is under pressure to revive growth as support for the AfD rises.
Merz told business leaders: 'Please open your doors for AI to make use of your data.'
Nvidia will invest in German startups Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo and Reflex Aerospace.
