NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani is heckled as a 'communist' while casting his ballot on the first day of early voting

The socialist mayor turned up at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the Upper East Side around 10am bearing Dunkin' donuts for poll workers. One man who had just voted yelled 'Communist! You suck!' at him, and the moment was filmed and posted on X. Mamdani has been campaigning hard to re-elect Governor Kathy Hochul against Republican Bruce Blakeman. Early voting runs for more than a week before Election Day on November 3.

Mamdani has signed just one bill in 10 months, against 30, 47 and 28 for his predecessors.

Close to a hundred bills are sitting on his desk while his team churns out social media videos.
