Man convicted of killing 67-year-old who told off child for riding e-bike on pavement

James Gbadamosi had only asked a child to take more care riding an electric bike fast along a crowded Balham High Road pavement when he was punched to the ground on a Sunday afternoon in August. The 67-year-old struck his head and died in hospital twelve days later, leaving behind his husband. Met detectives traced his attacker through hours of CCTV, witness interviews and phone data.
Met detectives arrested attacker Andre Wright-Walters at home three days later; he admitted possessing a Class A drug.
'No conviction can ever bring James back,' said Detective Inspector Sarah Philippe, who led the Met investigation.
Family of victim James Gbadamosi say his husband has lost 'the future they had hoped to share together'.
