Obama, campaigning in Georgia for Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, revealed that the White House rang Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to demand he hold a press conference outside a Cheesecake Factory — all because of a joke comparing White House renovations to Saddam Hussein opening the restaurant chain. Obama told the crowd of between 3,500 and 4,000 people that Trump 'wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison' but erupted over the Cheesecake Factory gag. He then turned his fire on Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, mocking him for being 'laser-focused' on troops' jawlines, testosterone levels and live-streaming executions.

Trump, rallying the same night in Chillicothe, Ohio, bragged he 'aced' cognitive tests, claiming Obama and Republicans 'couldn't have passed them.'

Republicans are privately alarmed, with one reportedly warning 'we may have lost the plot here' over Trump's closing rally messages.
