'Obviously 'was not for' her': Karoline Leavitt gives blunt verdict on successor Katie Zacharia's five-day White House stint

Katie Zacharia's allies are hitting back, with one source calling it 'unfair' for the former press secretary to keep 'brutalizing' Trump's hand-picked successor. Leavitt, who stepped down in August after the birth of her second child, says she is now helping President Donald Trump pick a replacement. She said he needs someone 'tough' and 'loyal' who can 'put up a fight'. Zacharia's five days in post make her the shortest-serving press secretary in US history.

Zacharia's debut briefing lasted 14 minutes and took questions from just three reporters.

She accidentally called her husband 'my president' from the podium.

Two days later she admitted she had never passed the bar exam despite calling herself a 'lawyer'.
