Katie Zacharia says she will 'refuse to be defined by the critics' after five days as Trump's press secretary

Katie Zacharia told Joel Pollak she is 'proud I said yes' and reaffirmed her backing for President Donald Trump. She said she wanted to show 'my children what courage looks like'. On Monday she unfollowed Fox News host Sean Hannity on X. The night before her ousting, he had pressed her on air until she acknowledged failing the bar exam.

Trump reportedly made the hire without running it past chief of staff Susie Wiles, who had reportedly been pushing Scott Jennings for the position.

Her only briefing reportedly lasted just 14 minutes, and she referred to her husband as 'my president'.
