Ousted Border Patrol boss Greg Bovino claims Trump administration wants him dead after security detail was pulled

Gregory Bovino, 56, the former commander-at-large who led the deadly Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, claims the Trump administration wants him killed. His security detail was withdrawn within a day of his departure from government, even as he says he and his family have been inundated with death threats. Bovino pointed the finger directly at CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott and border czar Tom Homan, saying the protection was pulled to 'silence' him. The White House called the claims 'absurd.'

Bovino was pushed out in March after Operation Metro Surge ended in the deaths of two American citizens, Alex Pretti and Renée Good, both 37.

Trump had already distanced himself from Bovino in January, calling him 'a pretty out there kind of guy' and demanding a 'softer touch' on immigration.

An interview released Wednesday night has been viewed over two million times on X alone, with Bovino insisting: 'Proof's in the pudding.'
