Ousted press secretary Katie Zacharia pushed for the 'disastrous' Fox News interviews that sealed her White House exit, texts show
'I'd like to do news hits morning and evening,' Katie Zacharia texted a White House official on Wednesday, the day after her 14-minute debut briefing. Sean Hannity pressed her on Thursday night over the California bar exam she failed. On Friday, Fox & Friends host Lawrence Jones asked whether she should have told President Donald Trump. Hours later, Trump said he had urged her to 'reconsider', and she left after five days.
A photo she posted with Trump showed a blurred map, said to reveal sensitive information.
China extended her an open invitation after her 'proper toilets' remark.
Trump insisted he had not fired her: 'She's been brutalized by the media.'
