Fallon Sherrock says she has 'overcome the hate' after beating Luke Littler to win £501,000 on Netflix
Fallon Sherrock's young son Rory ran on stage to embrace her in tears after she sealed the £501,000 win with a double-20 checkout.
Fallon Sherrock, 32, the only woman ever to win a match at the PDC World Darts Championship, defeated world No.1 Luke Littler on the 15th leg of his Netflix special 'Beat Luke Littler' on Friday night, pocketing darts' second-biggest ever prize. She hit a 180 and finished on double tops to leave Littler stranded on 142, reducing herself to tears as her son Rory ran onto the stage to embrace her.
Sherrock plans to spend the cash spoiling son Rory and buying a house, joking: 'It depends how much I get taxed!'
Her inclusion drew fierce backlash from fans who felt the show promised amateurs, but she fired back: 'I'm just so happy to overcome all the hate and win.'
Sixteen-time world champion Phil Taylor called the win 'life-changing', while PDC president Barry Hearn defended her place, saying: 'We want excellence competing against excellence.'
