'Uncomfortable to stay silent': Macklemore ends his Free Palestine shows at Wembley after he was dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour

Palestinian ambassador Husam Zomlot presented Macklemore with an olive wood gift containing Palestinian soil and olive leaves after the rapper's sold-out OVO Arena Wembley show on Friday night, the final date of his European Free Palestine tour. The American rapper, 43, whose real name is Benjamin Haggerty, launched the tour after being removed from Ed Sheeran's US stadium tour last month following his pro-Palestine statements.

Paloma Faith joined Macklemore onstage, saying: 'Why are my children more important than the children in Gaza?'

The concert raised funds for charities supporting Palestinians, with Macklemore performing protest song 'Hind's Hall' to chants of 'Free Palestine.'

Zomlot posted on X that it was 'an honour' to present the gift, calling the show 'electrifying.'
