Party Rock Anthem 'singer Lauren Bennett', 36, took her own life after leaving home for a morning walk, inquest rules
Lauren Bennett, whose husband Kenny Wormald found her body in woodland near their Meopham home after tracing her location using Find My Phone.
Singer Lauren Bennett, 36, best known as the voice on LMFAO's global chart-topper 'Party Rock Anthem', was found dead in woodland near her home in Meopham, Kent, by her husband Kenny Wormald after she told him she was going for a walk on May 29. Assistant coroner Jyoti Gill ruled at Kent and Medway Coroners' Court in Maidstone that Bennett died by suicide from hanging. She had been sectioned for a few days in January and remained in the care of specialist mental health services at the time of her death.
Bennett had a meeting with mental health services just days before she died, and had continued to report 'symptoms of distress' over her prescribed medication.
Her father Richard Bennett told the inquest she had lived an 'amazing life', signing her first record deal at just 17 and moving to the US alone to pursue her career.
Wormald and her father traced Lauren's location using Find My Phone after she failed to return home, and discovered her body in nearby woodland.
