Anthony Williams, 33, whose trial at the Old Bailey is weighing evidence about his state of mind at the time of the stabbing.

Scott Green was on the York to London King's Cross LNER service on 1 November last year when Anthony Williams, 33, turned on him with a knife before Green's cockapoo Poppy jumped up, barked and drove the attacker away. Williams, of Langford Road in Peterborough, is on trial at Cambridge Crown Court charged with 14 counts of attempted murder and denies all charges.

First victim Jonathan Gjoshe told the jury the initial stab wound felt like 'an electric shock' and left his arm 'drenched with blood'.

Gjoshe warned other passengers by shouting 'I've been stabbed, run', but some remained seated, thinking it was a joke.

Hospitalised for four days, Gjoshe asked staff 'am I going to die today or not? please tell me this.'
