Passengers scream as a cruise ship is blown into two container vessels by storm winds at a German port

The collision tore open several metres of the MSC Victorine's port side, while Mein Schiff 3's lifeboats, cranes and hull were badly damaged. A gust caught the liner as it left Bremerhaven on Sunday despite help from tugboats. Police confirmed no injuries and no water ingress. By Monday the ship was still stuck in port, and its 20-night voyage to the Canary Islands was in doubt.
Witness Christian Breden said the ship 'couldn't make any headway against the wind'.
His parents on board called it 'a crash like they'd never experienced before'.
The 2,506-passenger TUI liner regularly calls at Southampton, most recently in August.
