Pervert claimed to be police officer and sexually assaulted two girls

Aaron Grimshaw, 23, of Lisburn, brandished a fake metal emblem and threatened to arrest the two girls or contact their parents unless they submitted to his bogus search at Tutshill Recreation Ground on 22 May. He was only stopped when friends of the victims closed in and started filming him — on camera he claimed the girl had "consented" before walking away. At Bradford Crown Court on 17 September, Grimshaw received one year for the two sexual assaults, plus a further four and a half years for separate, unrelated sexual offences.

One victim said she now has 'nightmares, hearing voices and seeing things that aren't there' and struggles to trust strangers.

The second victim said the attack forced her to miss an important exam after she took time off school.

Grimshaw was identified the same day from the friends' video footage and his clothing, and pleaded guilty at his first court appearance.
