Jeremy Clarkson, 66, has not publicly commented on the protest, which follows PETA previously sending him a pig-themed "Christmassacre" jumper last December.

Animal rights group Peta erected a mock barbecue stand outside Clarkson's Farmer's Dog pub in Burford, Oxfordshire, on Wednesday, with a lifelike prop dog posed as if about to be grilled. An activist in a chef's apron stood behind the fake grill, tongs in hand, flanked by ketchup and mustard bottles. The stunt carried the slogan 'Wouldn't eat the farmer's dog? Why eat a pig?' Clarkson, 66, has made no public response.

Kate Werner, Peta's senior campaigns manager, noted that Clarkson has 'always been fond of pigs' and urged him to 'leave pigs off his plate'.

The Farmer's Dog opened in 2024 and featured prominently in his hit Prime Video series 'Clarkson's Farm'.

Peta has previously targeted Clarkson, who has long been openly dismissive of veganism.
