Peter Thiel is caught on tape saying the US should NOT have launched Trump's Iran war as midterms loom
In audio obtained from a Nashville lecture on 12 October, the PayPal and Palantir co-founder said: 'I'm sceptical of [the war]; I think we should not have done it.' Peter Thiel added that 'there were a lot of mistakes that were made'. The tape surfaced barely two weeks before the 3 November midterms, with Republicans fighting to hold their slim Senate majority.
Thiel warned: 'Maybe we're going to lose the soft power war.'
Despite the rebuke, he reaffirmed his support for President Trump during the lecture.
Palantir's Maven Smart System was used by the US military throughout the Iran war.
