Philadelphia police officer who was shot 12 times is released from hospital after the shooting that killed his partner

Officer Hector Rodriguez, a 33-year-old father of five, was wheeled out of Penn Presbyterian Medical Center on a rolling bed on Saturday as nurses and police colleagues gathered outside. He was hit on 52nd Street in West Philadelphia on October 10. Sergeant Shane Seiber was shot three times in the same attack and later died. Rodriguez had been 'up and walking' since last week.

Rodriguez and his wife attended Seiber's funeral on Tuesday at the Cathedral Basilica.
