Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle Sr, whose alleged 2019 paedophilia letter — denied by him — was shared with Harry and Meghan but never passed to overseas law-enforcement agencies.

Thomas Markle Sr., 82, has denied all allegations after a Philippine court granted police a warrant to examine his digital devices and hard drives, which his son Thomas Markle Jr. claims contain hundreds, if not thousands, of child sexual abuse images discovered at the Cebu property where his father previously lived.

Meghan said she is 'deeply distressed' and revealed a 2018 letter warning about her father was sent to the Metropolitan Police, who she says gave her assurances it was being investigated.

The Met now admits it failed to share the allegations with overseas law enforcement agencies and reportedly misplaced the original letter, having to ask Meghan for her copy.

Buckingham Palace is said to have been 'blindsided' by the scandal, with a royal source calling it 'unthinkable' that the Royal Household had been kept in the dark about the 2019 letter.
