Holly Hagan's sister Darci Rose Gibson, 19, died of an accidental crystal MDMA overdose last October after a night out in Manchester, with multi-organ failure recorded as the cause of death. The Geordie Shore star, 34, posted the warning on Instagram as Reading, Leeds and other UK festivals got under way this weekend. She said she cannot stop thinking that 'someone might not make it back' and urged revellers to 'look after your friends and don't show off.' On average five people a year die at UK festivals, the vast majority from MDMA.

Hagan was at Darci's bedside when she died, describing the final days as 'something I hope no family ever has to go through.'

She praised Manchester Royal Infirmary staff for giving her sister 'the absolute best chance' before her death.

'Nobody thinks it'll happen to them until it does,' Hagan wrote, calling the thought of other families suffering the same 'gut wrenching.'
