Zack Polanski has slumped to last place among UK party-leader approval ratings, dropping four points to a net score of -28 — putting him four points behind Nigel Farage — on the eve of the Holborn and St Pancras by-election that may determine his political fate. Only 16 per cent of voters consider him to be doing a good job. Labour chair Bridget Phillipson condemned the Greens' conference vote as "fundamentally wrong", with senior ministers saying they see no path to the two parties ever working together again.
Green councillor Daniel Potter defected to the Conservatives, saying he joined because he has 'been impressed with Kemi Badenoch as leader'.
Welsh Green deputy Phil Davies quit after seven years, calling the motion "pointless", "idiotic" and "imperialistic" — and said it "doesn't materially achieve anything in the real world".
Israel has barred Polanski from crossing its borders, while antisemitism tsar Lord Mann warned the Greens' motion is worse than anything seen under Jeremy Corbyn.
