Police appeal for dashcam footage after a driver in her 70s crashed into a Wolverhampton Lidl, killing a man

A driver in her 70s was discharged from hospital on Saturday but has not yet spoken to officers. Investigators believe a medical episode behind the wheel preceded the moment her car struck the Finchfield Hill store shortly before 6pm on Friday. Two shoppers are still hospitalised with serious injuries. Police are asking anyone who spotted a blue Renault Zoe between 5pm and 6pm to come forward.

The man in his 30s received advanced life support but was pronounced dead inside the store.

Sergeant Chloe Collins said police 'want to understand what might have caused the collision'.

A further four shoppers were treated at the scene for injuries not thought to be serious.
